Meteora 0.6

Hi!

After a long long time without updates (sorry, we were working very hard in some other projects too), Meteora 0.6 is available for download.

The major feature that was introduced on this version is the possibility to use translations in a very friendly way ;), for example if you want to use the Spanish translation you would use:

Here is a list of some other major changes we made:

 * Many compatibility bugfixes were solved

 * Editor's 'Create Link' and 'Insert image' buttons were improved by using the Dialog control.

 * A new Control is available: Carousel.

 * Picbox can be controlled controlled by using key shortcuts.

 * Tablesort is recognizing currencies and percentages.

 * Many IE6 memory leaks were fixed.

On the next version, 0.7, we will be focusing on design. If you have any suggestions we would like to hear them on the forums.

Meteora 0.5

Meteora 0.5 is now available for download.

With this new release, Meteora is featuring three new controls:

  • Picbox: A control to display images in top of an overlay. It is smart enough to adapt itself to the screen size. [ demo | doc ]

  • Bubble: Shows “idea bubbles” in any element. We are using it within the Form control as an user-friendly way to display input errors. [ demo | doc ]
  • Treeview: Displays and allows the user to interact with hierarchical nodes. You can use AJAX to create and display new nodes. [ demo | doc ]

Other improvements we made:

  • Menu: Added horizontal menu plus some usability fixes.
  • Form: We added the new Bubble control to this one to display beautiful validations.
  • Datagrid: New actions when you press enter, escape and tab keys.

We also fixed some bugs showing under IE6 and cosmetical issues.

The missing test/ directory is back again, since many of you complained about its sudden deletion.

4 months old and Meteora is keen on growing!!

Metera 0.4 is now available, download here.

Meteora releases have come fast due to the growing number of advocates and their different needs. 0.4 enhances many features in the family, making everything simpler yet stronger.

With this new release, Meteora increases its magic to help with building web apps.

We focused on making it easier to change the way the controls look & feel, while keeping the elegance in both code & display (soul & body). A good control lets you do anything you want, a great control lets you do that seemlessly.

Somehow we managed to do lots more too. Take a look.. this is what happened from 0.3 to 0.4:

  • fixed bugs

  • new controls (widgets) were born
  • enhanced cross-browser compatibility & performance

  • added code compression & automatic dependencies resolution
  • beautified the controls (widgets)

  • increased the documentation & demos available

In this new release we feature:

  • Complete IE6, IE7, Firefox, Safari and Opera compatibility
  • Code Compression (cool)
  • We also made some changes on the look & feel of all the controls, making them a bit more handsome (at least that's what we think).

  • A complete documentation and a whole new set of demos are available for this release.
